Project Art
Project Art focusing on developing skills, techniques and confidence in a specific art medium. Student Choice is featured in developing art style and theme within given featured materials. This program provides a platform to build art techniques, dedication, and self expression.
What does an Project-Based Studio look like?
1. Sketchbook Challenge

Class will start with a drawing prompt, based on a specific theme/ concept
2. Art Inspiration

Then the teacher will share artwork of a well-known/ current artist, which highlights a specific medium technique. There will be a mini dialogue and artistic critique about the artwork
3. Art Demo
-
The project and demo being led, depends on the chosen theme

2-D Art: Painting, Collage, Drawing, Printmaking

3-D Art: Sculpture, Jewelry, Clay, Found Object, Sewing, Weaving

Digital Art: Procreate, Canva, iMovie, Photography, Pixlr

A specific art technique will be taught each class, to expose students to different materials and provide inspiration of how they can manipulate different materials for their envisioned aesthetic.
4. Studio Time

Studio Time will be the majority of the class, where the teacher will meet with students 1:1 to discuss their artistic vision. Students will be guided on using the given techniques to create an art piece personalized to each students featuring their creative visions and interests.
5. Art Shares
-
Towards the end of class, students will share and check in with each other regarding how their art piece is developing. They will provide feedback to each other to create a studio culture of feedback and creative collaboration.
